Abstract :
This paper presents several educational strategies for the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the context of the industrial maintenance teaching. The proposed strategies have been designed to be implemented in a specific subject dealing with the predictive maintenance of industrial electric machines. This subject is conceived to give an overall overview of the industrial maintenance protocols of these electromechanical conversion devices, an area still perceived as `classical´ by many students. The proposed solutions are being adopted in order to provide a modern perspective of the area, to increase the interest toward the subject and, at the same time, to achieve several educational goals such as better assimilation of the explained concepts. Among the proposed ideas, we can find the use of modern Internet-connected signal acquisition devices during the lab sessions, the promotion of the use of teaching multimedia platforms, the elaboration of electronic didactic material or the development of on-line assessment systems.
