  • Abstract
Wireless sensor network has very huge area of study. Rising large applications need to transport massive data packets to the sink node from different sensor nodes without having much loss of data packets in the network. It encompasses number of sensor nodes having insufficient processing power, communicating over a network. These sensors are circulated in given network environment so that they gathers data, process that data and send it to the destination. Reliability is one of the important qualities of service parameters of WSN. Reliability is achieved when sink node has received certain amount of data packets sent by source node. In this paper, we are discussing a variety of ways of increasing reliability of given system with minimum expenditure of energy and controlling congestion. Here we talk about various factors which affects on reliability of a system. One of them is packet size of given data, by changing packet size we noted down some imported readings. Based upon which we calculated packet Delivery Ratio, Packet loss Ratio as well as desired and observed reliability of a given system.
