Abstract :
Tsunami monitoring system using submarine cabled seafloor observatory technology is one of the most prospective observation approaches for the next decade along with buoy based systems or shore HF (high frequency) radar apparatuses. This paper describes the overview of tsunami observation, and introduction of an observation example near the region of tsunami source using DONET (Dense Ocean-floor Network system for Earthquakes and Tsunamis).
