Abstract :
This work describes the submission process of an innovative degree in Mathematical Engineering proposed by the School of Engineering, Polytechnic of Porto (ISEP), on October 2011, and the subsequent evaluation made by the Portuguese Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation (A3ES). The proposed study cycle aims to fill a gap in the Portuguese Education System and to provide the students the opportunity to follow studies in an area that combines mathematics and engineering.
