Abstract :
This paper introduces an extension of the classical Line Tracking Algorithm to solve the problem of fitting multiple straight-lines to a sequence of 2D points. We also analyze the performance of the extended algorithm to solve a classical problem in robotics: finding a map of lines from laser measurements; tests show that the extended algorithm obtains reliable models.
