Abstract
This research describes the online video content that student access on YouTube for learning the principles of animation. As students´ self-directed learning are frequently carried out during their free time and within their comfort zone outside of the classroom, the effective use of online videos for learning is subjected to the digital literacy skills of the students. Instructors can only do so much in guiding the students to get the information the students need. To help improve students´ self-learning time, this paper identifies the type of learning videos on YouTube that are accessible to animation students for learning the principles of animation.
