Abstract :
With the coming of knowledge economy era, knowledge has become one of the most important production elements and its management the mainstream of the times. As a matter of fact, knowledge management has now been regarded as one of the essential means for enterprises to achieve core competence, among which the management of human resource — the bearer of knowledge — plays a decisive role in the organization. Many enterprises have introduced human-oriented knowledge management systems. As the representative of knowledge-intensive organizations, colleges attribute their core resource to knowledge and thus should give more priority to knowledge management, making it the focus of their management activities. In view of the key role of human resource management in the knowledge management system, colleges are bound to reform the traditional management models at the face of new opportunities and challenges brought by the knowledge economy era. This paper will conduct a study on human resource management of Chinese colleges on the basis of knowledge management theory, with a view to help improve their efficiency in this field.
