Abstract :
A low cost, single-axis force-feedback haptic device of 1 degree of freedom (1 DOF) based in obsolete material has been under development. The system can work in interaction with virtual reality applications or in stand-alone mode, emulating physical systems, e.g. springs of distinct types of stiffness. The prototype, working in both modes will be demonstrated in the Exhibition Session of exp.at´13.
