Abstract :
This paper analyzed the role of OGC Web services specifications in the sharing and interoperability of geographic information, gived a typical model of the information sharing platform based on OGC Web services, and described in detail the functions of each layer in the information sharing platform and the specific process of realizing geographic information sharing. On this basis, the paper built an information sharing experimental system based on the open source GIS platform Geoserver that conforms to OGC specifications. Furthermore, aiming at the disadvantages that the Geoserver can not provide WPS services, the paper individually designed and implemented a three-layer WPS server. The WPS server re-packaged many typical spatial operations in the GIS middleware GeoTools, to provide WPS services, thus realized fully sharing of rich third-party spatial data and third-party spatial operations.
