Spatial econometric analysis of regional economic structure and air quality

Abstract :
According to the panel data during 2001-2010 of 30 provincial capital cities in China, using the spatial panel model, the paper analyzes the effects of structure factors on the regional air quality such as industrial structure, energy structure, urbanization. The results show: Technological innovation has obvious positive influence on air quality; environment greening can improve air quality; the unreasonable energy structure is the important factors that affect regional air quality in China; upgrading of industrial structure, improvement of energy structure has a positive significant influence on air quality; urbanization has pros and cons effects on air quality.
