Abstract
Contiguous channel bonding has been considered in IEEE 802.22 standard to use more than one channel in TV white spaces. To support more flexible channel usage of TV white spaces, this paper investigates non-contiguous channel bonding via NC-OFDM (Non-Continuous OFDM) technique. The system model of NC-OFDM transmission for non-contiguous channel bonding is presented and the system performance is studied by simulation. The simulation results show that non-contiguous channel bonding achieves better SER (Symbol Error Rate) performance and results in slightly higher PAPR (Peak to Average Power Ratio) compared with contiguous channel bonding.
