Abstract
How to improve spectral efficiency is one of the hot research topics in communication technology. Ultra Narrow Band (UNB) is a special modulation method to try to improve spectral efficiency. There are several modulation formats called UNB. In order to explore its essentials, this article presents a compressive research and analysis and comparison from the point of frequency domain based on the common modulation methods. The essential attributes are achieved through frequency analysis. Further this can be used as the guide in the process of waveform design.
