Technology selection in the development of low-carbon industry in Hebei province

The core in development of low-carbon industry is low-carbon technology. Low-carbon technology refers to take the technological means for the realization of low-carbon economy Low-carbon technology development can safeguard for our response to climate change, adjusting the industrial structure and promoting social low-carbon development, and it is also the focus of China´s 12th five-year plan. Hebei province should grasp this historic opportunity, use of its resources and technological advantages, to become low-carbon technology leader and create new competitiveness for the sustainable economic development. This paper analyses in depth the connotation of low-carbon technology, Basing on experiences of some developed countries´ technology selection in developing low-carbon industry, analyses and explores the low-carbon industry technology selection in Hebei province. Finally, put suggestions for development of low-carbon technology in Hebei province.
