Abstract
This paper presents a result of long-term land slide monitoring by ground-based SAR (GB-SAR) interferometry, in Aratozawa, Kurihara city, Japan, from June 2012 to March 2013. The area needed a monitoring tool that can cover the wide area and give displacement information. GB-SAR is suitable for this purpose, because GB-SAR can make a two dimensional image and can detect a small geometrical change of the area with SAR technology and interferometry. From the displacement map of the area, most of the area was stable until December 2012 and started to move in winter season. Observing the time variance of amplitude of SAR image, we think that the data may be affected by snowfall in this period. The large displacement can be snow but further analysis is still needed to investigate the reason.
