Abstract
Safety of aircraft during the flight is one of the most important problems that concerns of all aviation. Damage to the external contour of the aircraft by foreign objects always leads to a change in the characteristics of the aircraft, direct and indirect economic costs and sometimes to injury or death of passengers and crew. Real-time external contour diagnostics of the aircraft and wings makes it possible to warn or prevent emergency situations and thus improve safety. The modeling of such effects is necessary for the development of reconfiguration flight control systems to recover aircraft controllability from adverse, damage-related loss-of-control events, as well as for the estimation of aerodynamic characteristics from extra conditions in flight.
