  • Abstract
    The paper describes the process of complex technical object design on the example of the aircraft, using information technology such as CAD/CAM/CAE-systems. The paper discloses a weight design process, which is associated with all stages of aircraft development and its production. Knowledge-oriented approach of the CTO design gives the possibility of managing geometrical and weight model parameters on all stages of the CTO design. Such structure of automatized CTO design system allows taking into account classic and innovative methods of CTO design, combining them in accordance with their exactness at the calculation composition of CTO parameters.
