Abstract
Due to that the randomness and fluctuation of wind power may make active power of wind farm difficulty to be controlled, a wind generator dynamic grouping based strategy for active power control of wind farm is proposed. This strategy can classify wind generators into six groups dynamically using the information of ultra-short term power prediction and real-time operation status of wind generators. The power of the two groups with non-monotonous variation trends will be preprocessed, and the principle of control of different wind generator groups is given. Further, detailed allocation method is introduced by analyzing the power regulation ability of wind generators. Case study is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy in a wind farm, the result shows that the power output of wind farm can be smoothened by dynamic and optimal grouping.
