Abstract :
This paper focuses on the development of a platform for energy conservation using real-time monitoring and feedback tools. These tools are used to engage users in a university setting to conserve energy. One of the buildings at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), campus in Al-Ain will serve as a foundation for research and as a catalyst for an effort to encourage users to save energy. Real-time monitoring equipment and visual and digital feedback tools will be evaluated and deployed at the building to study human behavior as a result of feedback information and to analyze possible energy savings due to impulse behaviors.
