  • Abstract
    A common illness found in almost all dental checkups is the periodontal disease. Many of its effects cannot be reversed, but they can be prevented through a proper oral hygiene and periodical checkups. These must be painless, quick and precise. This paper shows the electronic devices and the main features of a software that can be used with an automatic periodontal probe that can measure the depth of the periodontal pockets.
