Abstract
This paper presents experimental bending-rotation tests regarding the fatigue life of superelastic NiTi wires. The rotating-bending fatigue experimental tests were done on three types of Nitinol wires characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The results showed that the number of cycles varies with the diameter and chemical composition of the wire.
