Abstract
In this paper, we combine and customize Friend of A Friend (FOAF) and music ontology for music concerts recommendation system on Facebook application to enable users retrieving filtered information of music concerts from different sources. The information is filtered based on user´s musical taste defined on his Facebook profile. In this research, ARC2 is used as semantic web based PHP framework for RDF. Experiment results show that the use of Virtuoso built-in function during the search process can speed up processing time for similar artist search by 43 percent roughly. To further speed up the processing time, database is used as a cache so that the performance is increased by 23 percent roughly.
