Abstract :
The mobility of relay nodes may introduce performance gain by exploiting the diversity of channel states. We consider a three-mobile-node OFDM-based packet relay system, in which direct source-destination link is not available and all links undergo Rayleigh fading. An opportunistic packet relaying strategy based on partial Channel State Information at the Transmitter (CSIT) is proposed to improve the system performance such as throughput and delay. The performance enhancement is verified through simulations. Furthermore, we also argue that there exists a tradeoff between throughput and packet delay.
