  • Abstract
    In this paper, a tunable C shaped capacitive coupled antenna is presented. The antenna is useful for application with ultrawideband and dual band requirements. The antenna is loaded with pin diode which enables the antenna to work like frequency notched antenna. The design provides very high attenuation of cross polarization. The various antenna parameters like return loss, radiation pattern, gain etc. have been obtained. The antenna was fabricated on RT Duroid 5880 and simulated on IE3D software. The measured and simulated results agree within acceptable limit.
