  • Abstract
    The Integrated inter- & intra connected Collaborated Aperture Radar Systems (i3CARS) will enhance radar performance requirements. It is based on the envisioned Holography-based Phased-Array Antenna Technology. This development trend is essentially motivated by the fact that singly-aperture phased-array radar suffers from unacceptable loss at the scan limit of the radar beam. The i3CARS, is a form of concerted radars, can provide extended coverage to make up for the loss incurred for singly-aperture phased-array radar. Also the architecture of the i3CARS is very convenient to reconfigure for different type of radar mission applications. The i3CARS, built on moving platforms with advanced computing capability & connectivity, is particularly adaptable to mobile platforms such as UAVs and the like for enhanced SAR imaging capability.
