Abstract :
This paper presents a reconfigurable E-shaped patch antenna which is proposed to achieve wide-band circular polarization diversity. Two parallel slots with pin diodes are incorporated into the patch antenna. Since the current path can be simply altered by turning the diodes on or off, this antenna can radiate with either wideband right hand circular polarization (RHCP) or left hand circular polarization (LHCP) using the same feeding probe. The results show that the antenna have good polarization switchable radiation performance with 16 % fractional bandwidth.
