Abstract
A new method was developed to reduce the monostatic RCS using modified Van Atta array topology. The deep null result of phase cancellation is made by controlling the length of transmission lines. Using array theory calculation and full-wave simulation, the proposed method was verified. For various incident angles, proposed array shows lower RCS level than that of identically sized metal plate. Especially, in case of boresight incidence, 22 dBsm of RCS was reduced.
