Abstract :
We present a fully automated reconfigurable beam antenna with adaptive nulling capabilities. This antenna takes the form of an S-band eight-element phased array equipped with a digital beamforming electronic network that provides for instantaneous beam reconfiguration as well as nulling. We have fabricated a complete antenna system which exhibits promising test results. Demonstrated hardware performance confirms a successful assembly of subsystems that combine nulling techniques with both a digital beamforming principle and a beam reconfiguration algorithm.
