Abstract :
Antenna array synthesis with a minimum number of antenna elements is of interesting in many applications. In this work, a method based on regularized FOCUSS, for the design of sparse arrays is proposed. The proposed approach can give the locations and amplitudes of these sparse elements at the same time. Numerical simulations show the high accuracy of achieving the desired radiation pattern with maximally sparse non-uniform linear array.
