Abstract
The characteristics of wave propagation for vehicle mounted sources over various grounds are investigated in this paper. Three different antenna positions on a simplified Humvee model were studied including sources on the roof, at the rear, and at the bottom. The radiation pattern uniformity, de-polarization, and efficiency are calculated from HF through VHF frequencies for each position and different real grounds and relevant conclusions are drawn.
