Abstract :
A novel low-profile X-band reflector antenna fed with a special PEC-backed dipole feed located at the aperture plane is presented. This antenna assembly has an aperture size of 8 inches and height of 2". The radome is made of a 1/16th" Teflon sheet. This antenna produces realized gain of 23.1dB and first side lobe level of less than -25dB below main peak at 10.2GHz. The -10 dB reflection coefficient bandwidth of this design is approximately 14.6%.
