Abstract :
Ultra wideband and conformal antennas have been of interest for many years. Recently, optimal designs of tightly coupled bowtie arrays have been proposed with integrated feeds. These designs achieved practical apertures that reach 14:1 bandwidths (VSWR<;2). This paper traces some of these concepts back to C.H. Walter´s book and presents some recent developments.
