  • Abstract
A dual frequency broadband planar monopole antenna with parasitic stub is proposed in this paper. It exhibits good 10 dB bandwidth for return loss from 1.684 to 2.643 GHz and from 3.382 to 3.80 GHz covering long term evolution (LTE) bands 22, 39 and 42. The antenna occupies an overall dimension of 50 mm × 56 mm. Simulation results show good antenna performance in both frequency bands such as 2.09 dBi gain at 1.9 GHz, 75.55 percentage efficiency, and omni-directional radiation pattern.
