  • Abstract
Terahertz waves funnel through infinite single slits with a few nanometer gaps, reaching an ultimate limit of electric field enhancement due to high aspect ratio between metal thickness and gap size. Our study provides not only a deep understanding of giant field enhancement through an infinite single slit but also points towards many potential applications in plasmonics, light focusing and strong light matter interaction.
