Abstract
This paper is concerned with the probabilistic load flow (PLF) calculation including wind farms with correlated nodal injections. A steady-state probabilistic model for wind farms is firstly constructed. The PLF model for a grid-connected induction wind power system is then proposed. Moreover, the correlation samples between nodal injections were generated by Cholesky Factorization method. The four schemes in point estimate method, 2m scheme, 2m+1 scheme, 3m scheme and 4m+1 scheme, were employed to solve the PLF. The proposed method was tested on the improved 5-bus system. Simulation results confirm that 3m scheme of point estimate method has higher calculation precision when used to solve the PLF whether the impact of correlated powers is considered. Meanwhile, it is also shown that the correlation of nodal powers should be considered in PLF analysis.
