Abstract
Conflict Probes can be used to aid the pilot in performing Sense and Avoid functions. Well Clear can be considered a separation standard - Spatial and Temporal considerations should be used to define WCV. Conflict Probes can accommodate Spatial and Temporal thresholds - Temporal thresholds better match equal risk - Spatial thresholds needed for low closure rate encounters. Further research is needed to define WCV parameters - Sensor limitations should be considered.
