Abstract :
In this paper, an image acquisition and processing system based on contact image sensor (CIS) and DSP is introduced, which captures images of prints from CIS and processes images using DSP. Based on this, the captured image can be sent to PC by network. The hardware design, data transmission and network communication are discussed. Based on polling caching mechanism, high-performance DSP and rich communication interfaces, the system has an advantage of high speed, good robustness and good expansibility.
