Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to explore the mechanism of acupuncture treatment for generalized anxiety disorder using Lieque(LU7), Zhaohai(KI6) as the main acupoints. The incidence of generalized anxiety disorder increases year by year, seriously affecting the quality of people´s life and work, which has posed a great threat to human health. At present western medicine mainly uses drugs combined with psychological therapy for this disease. The treatment of western medicine has a rapid onset, short course of treatment, but the side effects of western medicine are obvious, causing many adverse reactions, which results in some limitations in clinical application. In the aspect of acupuncture treatment for this disease, a number of Meta analysis and system evaluations point out that acupuncture treatment has more advantages than drugs in the treatment of anxiety disorders, with the small side effect, fast onset, convenient application, high compliance. Therefore more and more anxious patients prefer the treatment of acupuncture.
