Abstract :
We built the ring road model around the Imperial Palace in Beijing, and put forward an agent-based model (ABM) setting section as agent. This kind of mesoscopic model possessed the inherent advantages of macroscopic one and microscopic one. We simulated the ring road scene in reality, used the AMB to set different basic attributes and behaviour rules for different sections, and established model rules to simulate and analysis the traffic stream of urban ring road. When the ABM made sections emerge the traffic situation, we could both see every section´s condition and the whole ring road´s. Then we conducted a series of experiments with different number of vehicles entering, cycle length of traffic lights and change pattern of traffic lights system to come to conclusions with different sections.
