Abstract :
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), which is an advanced multi-carrier modulation technology, with highly flexible modulation format, higher spectral efficiency and better resistance to multipath interference, has been widely used in the field of wire-less communications and broadcast network. However, with the improvement of people´s living standards, the demand for communication bandwidth is increasing, but the current technology is difficult to appeal to the high speed, large capacity and long distance development prospect of the optical fiber communication. Therefore, in this paper, we mainly report that a high-speed OFDM transmitter based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) transmit the 3.5G b/s Optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OOFDM) signals over standard single-mode fibers (SMF).
