Abstract :
In this paper a quasi-optical mode converter including a simple, easily manufacturable Vlasov launcher, one parabolic mirror and one elliptical mirror for 94GHz TE6,2 mode gyrotron is designed. Vlasov launcher is analyzed in terms of geometric optics theory, the radiation field is calculated by Stratton-Chu formula, a simulation code is written to optimize the reflected mirrors. The simulation results show that the power transmission efficiency of the operating cavity mode to a fundamental Gaussian distribution is 84.15%, the scalar correlation coefficient is greater than 90% at the window plane.
