  • Abstract
    In this paper, Gaussian particle filter is applied to multi-user detection in synchronous code division multiple access environments. Background noise is modified by non-Gaussian noise with more harshly conditions such as Laplace noise and Alpha-stable noise. Gaussian particle filter algorithm consists of a particle filter that uses a Gaussian distribution to generate the importance proposal distributions. Compare with the standard particle filter algorithm, Gaussian particle filter algorithm has less computation time and no particle degradation. The simulation results show that the Gaussian particle filter has the versatility and super performance in multiuser detection.
