  • Abstract
Advances in multimedia technologies, and their relative low cost, nowadays allow the design and implementation of museum installations that enhance the visit experience by making the visitor the main actor in the exhibition. In this paper we describe an innovative museum installation that integrates multi-touch screens and NFC (Near Field Communication) and allows the visitor to simulate what happens during a dig and learn about part of the archaeologist´s work as well as archaeological objects.
