Abstract :
In the present paper low cost, non-vacuum process is used to demonstrate the fabrication of CZTS/ CZTSe film. Initially the Cu/Zn/Sn/S powder was mixed in desired ratio and ball milled for 48 hrs. The resultant powder was sintered at 500 °C for 30 min in N2 atmosphere before making the paste. Doctor´s blade method was used to deposit the thin film on Mo coated soda lime glass. As deposited film were first annealed at 520°C for 3 min followed by selenization in Se atmosphere at 550 °C for 5 min. The films were characterized for surface morphology by Scanning Electron Microscopy, phase identification by X-ray diffraction Comparison of XRD spectrums of annealed film and selenized film shows the replacement of S with Se. SEM images reveal the formation of kesterite crystals with large grain.
