Abstract :
Four ~25kW Photovoltaic arrays of three different technologies (c-Si, CIGS and CdTe) deployed by the US Photovoltaic Manufacturing Consortium are being continuously monitored along with all the metrological parameters. During the months of Aug 2012 till April 2013 it is observed that the total power produced by the monitored combiners Si-E is 4852 KWh and Si-W is 4882 KWh while for the thin film arrays, CIGS is 5256 KWh and CdTe is 4129 KWh. Since all the three systems have different ratings and only one combiner is complete monitored for each array, this study reports the average power produced by different technologies and the effects of array orientation, seasonal variations, irradiance, module temperature, snow and shadowing on the power produced in the northeast climatic conditions for those panels.
