Abstract :
Automatic secret sharing is prefered in body sensor network (BSN) where sensor nodes normally have no user interfaces and may be shared by a group of users, such as family users. The automatic user identification at each sensor node for the purpose of communication security is different from traditional biometrics with static or stable characteristics. It should be dynamic and time varying, and the bio-channel that connects the wearable or implantable sensors in an inherent secure way makes it possible. Physiological Signals based Secret Sharing scheme (PSSS) aiming to automatically deploy identical secrets among network nodes is potentially considered to be an important add-on security mechanism for BSN. In this paper, taking the advantages of randomness and similarity of physiological characteristics, a fuzzy vault based automatic secret sharing scheme is proposed. Results of simulation and experimental analysis show that the proposed scheme has an improved performance in node recognition over the existing schemes.
