Abstract
An atmospheric pressure direct current plasma jet is produced in nitrogen and air. The active region and afterglow region of the plasma jet at various discharge currents and gas flow rates are investigated. Depending on the gas flow and the current, the discharge can be sustained at diffusion or filamentary modes.
