Abstract :
To analyze the coupling effects of electromagnetic pulse (EMP) onto microstrip line, the model based on the multiresolution time domain (MRTD) method is provided. An electromagnetic model of microstrip line with single copper trace is presented for analysis. The influence of EMP on transfer function is taken into account and the coupling mechanism is discussed. The results show that the coupling of EMP on microstrip line has two different modes with the change of frequency, due to the complex structure of microstrip line. One is the copper trace coupling of EMP, and the other is the slot coupling. The influence factors of transfer function under two coupling modes are very different.
