Abstract :
In millimeter-wave band, the discontinuity of Coaxial resonators will bring a character called multi-resonating frequencies which means more than one resonating frequencies will be generated by one resonator. Multi-resonating frequencies will bring trouble to equalizer´s designing. This paper provides a new structure to solve this problem. It is called Dielectric-filled rectangular resonator which replaces coaxial resonator by a partly dielectric-filled rectangular resonator. An accurate calculation for rectangular resonator´s resonating frequency is obtained. Simulation results show that by changing the length of dielectric cavity and air cavity, the resonators can be frequency and attenuation adjustable.
