Abstract :
This paper describes partial discharge (PD) performances of electronic transformers which play an important part in switching power supply which has lower lose, smaller size and high efficiency compared with the traditional line-electric power supply. Electronic transformers in switching power supply always worked under high frequency and high voltage which will badly stress the insulation system. Thus, PD measurements on electronic transformer with four kinds of insulated infusions, black ordinary epoxy grouped with polyethylene film, black ordinary epoxy grouped with nominix film, epoxy with nanometric metal-oxide fillers grouped with polyethylene film and epoxy with nanometric metal oxide fillers grouped with nominix film, are implemented in this paper. Furthermore, failure transformer and improved models with optimum voltage distribution are also discussed. The results shows that insulation system made of epoxy with nanometric metal oxide fillers grouped with nominix film, as well as a relatively uniform voltage distribution, can improve transformers´ reliability obviously.
