Abstract
Most of the research in recent years has been focused on reducing the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, which is the most popular technology for multicarrier communication. Among all the proposed schemes, PTS is one of the most effective ways to improve PAPR performance, but it results in high computational complexity. In this paper, a restorable Clipping scheme is proposed and combined used with PTS scheme in the OFDM system. Simulation results show that the new scheme is not only simple, but also can significantly improve the PAPR reduction performance while guaranteeing the BER performance of the QPSK-OFDM system.
